The Fairy of Little Things
How the Tooth Fairy Came to Be
Everyone in Glinda’s family has something magnificent to do. Her mother paints sunsets. Her father grows great trees. Her aunt catches wishes from shooting stars.
But Glinda prefers rescuing ladybugs and tending the tiniest flowers.
Then an old willow tells her about something very small that humans have never quite known how to look after: a baby tooth.
A glimpse of the family
Five fairies, one cottage-full of magic
Meet the fairies
Every one of them notices something different.
Glinda
The youngest noticer in the family
Rescues ladybugs, straightens bent flowers, and has a very particular idea about baby teeth.

The Sunset Fairy
Glinda's mother
Paints the evening sky in apricot, rose, purple, and gold, with enormous sweeping brushstrokes.

The Tree Fairy
Glinda's father
Can hear trees growing, and helps them rise by calling them up from inside themselves.

The Star-Catching Fairy
Glinda's aunt
Keeps a ladder of moonlight rolled up in her pocket, for catching wishes on shooting stars.

The Birthday Fairy
Glinda's sister
Waits beside birthday cakes to catch wishes in the candle smoke.

Who Else Lives in Wishbrook?
The Dewdrop Fairy
Before the sun is fully up, she tips a dewdrop into a clover leaf for the smallest garden visitors. A thirsty beetle has never once gone without breakfast on her watch.
The Dream-Keeper Fairy
She gathers the pleasant bits of dreams before the morning light can carry them away. If you wake up smiling and can't remember why, she may have a piece of it in her basket.
The Lantern Fairy
She tends the tiny lights along the woodland paths so no one walks home in the dark. Her lanterns are made from acorn caps, and she polishes every one.
